More Than Choosing a Puppy
Our placement process goes far beyond choosing a puppy by photograph, color, or availability. We carefully evaluate each puppy’s temperament, structure, movement, nervous-system regulation, working aptitudes, and developmental trajectory. We then consider each applicant’s household, lifestyle, experience, and goals to identify the partnership in which that puppy is most likely to thrive.
Partnership Beyond Placement
This thoughtful process has produced outstanding placements in family life, service work, conformation, obedience, Rally, herding, scent work, protection sports, and other demanding pursuits. The relationship continues long after a puppy goes home. JDV owners receive ongoing guidance with nutrition, physical and emotional development, foundational training, household boundaries, social neutrality, cooperative care, ear posting, and preparation for companion, service, performance, or working goals.
Experience and advanced handling skills are not prerequisites. We value an eager and open attitude, honest communication, follow-through, and a willingness to learn. Our Preservation Partners are supported by an experienced breeder who remains invested in their dog throughout its life.
