What I’m breeding for

I’m continually working to improve structure and temperament while preserving the expression, proportions, substance, movement, and discernment I love in this breed. I study how the parents complement each other, their health records and pedigree, and how they compare with the French and AKC standards.

Bringing your puppy home

Puppies ordinarily join their homes at eight weeks. We arrange any additional training, boarding, or transportation before that date, with the plan and fees agreed together.

Puppies are $3,500, with your $200 waitlist deposit credited toward the total. Read the preservation responsibilities, health-testing commitments, matching, deferral, and refund terms before completing the application, signed agreement, and deposit. I contact enrolled applicants as suitable matches develop.

After homecoming, you have unlimited access to me by text and phone, with video demonstrations when helpful. Here is what our relationship looks like as your dog grows.

Understanding the parents’ accomplishments

Torleif and Vetta

• Torleif — CH, AKC Champion: Conformation championship earned through wins under multiple judges evaluating dogs against the breed standard.

• Torleif — GCH, AKC Grand Champion: Further conformation recognition beyond the championship, earned in Best of Breed competition with the required wins and competition against other champions.

• Torleif — RA, Rally Advanced: Successful off-leash Rally work through a course of obedience exercises, including a jump; demonstrates trained teamwork and responsiveness.

• Torleif — BCAT: The first Fast CAT title, earned at 150 points in timed 100-yard lure-chasing sprints; records participation and performance in a speed sport.

• Torleif — CGCA, Canine Good Citizen Advanced / Community Canine: Advanced manners and handling skills evaluated in community situations.

• Torleif — CGCU, Canine Good Citizen Urban: Manners and control assessed amid the distractions of an urban setting.

• Torleif — TKN, Trick Dog Novice: Demonstrated trained behaviors at the introductory Trick Dog level, reflecting engagement and learning with his handler.

• Vetta — CH, AKC Champion: Conformation championship recognizing repeated success under multiple judges evaluating her against the breed standard.

Tulum and Twyla

• Tulum — CH, AKC Champion: Conformation championship earned under multiple judges evaluating dogs against the breed standard.

• Tulum — CSAU, Certificat de Sociabilité et d’Aptitude à l’Utilisation: French certification assessing sociability, stability, and basic obedience; evidence of his behavior during that evaluation.

• Tulum — Cotation 4, Recommandé: A French breed-selection rating, distinct from an AKC title, recognizing selection through the breed club’s evaluation of conformation, temperament, and the applicable health criteria.

• Twyla — OTCH, Obedience Trial Champion: An AKC obedience championship requiring 100 championship points and specified first-place wins in Open B and Utility B under different judges. It recognizes competitive achievement beyond simply qualifying.

• Twyla — UDX7, Utility Dog Excellent, seventh award: Seven completions of the UDX requirement—70 occasions qualifying in both Open B and Utility B at the same trial. This reflects repeated success across two demanding obedience classes.

• Twyla — OM9, Obedience Master, ninth level: Sustained high-scoring work in Open B and Utility B, progressing through nine levels of the AKC Obedience Master program.

• Twyla — BN, Beginner Novice: Three qualifying performances in the introductory obedience class, establishing foundational teamwork before more advanced work.

• Twyla — RN, Rally Novice: Three qualifying on-leash Rally performances through a course of obedience exercises.

Titles describe the parents’ earned accomplishments. We evaluate each puppy’s developing temperament, structure, and suitability individually; a parent’s title does not promise a particular finished outcome for a puppy.
